So, we have changed our name and brought on board a whole range of new benefits. What does that mean for our clients?

I had a meeting with one of our customers at the start of January, who had been offering their employees childcare vouchers for a number of years. They are a call centre employing over 150 staff. The Managing Director who I was meeting said that they were struggling to give payrises but added that “money doesn’t really seem to motivate them, we need something to really make a difference to their working and home lives”. They were also experiencing problems with staff retention.
I ran through the new employee benefits we offer and he picked out a number that he felt would really help the morale, health and motivation of his team. We then held a number of benefits afternoons for the employees where we talked to them about the employee benefits he had chosen: corporate gym memberships – at a gym or leisure centre to suit them, positive posture at their desks and everyday living, getting help with life events through their new employee assistance programme and having access to a cash plan and wellness programme.
Feedback from the employees has been fantastic and take up of all the benefits is high. A number of the new benefits have actually been paid for with the savings made by the company through offering childcare vouchers!! When I spoke to the MD last week he told me that there is a buzz in the office, and one member of the team made a point of coming to his office to say that they really feel supported and valued.
