How does the the DoctorLine service work?

The DoctorLineTM service provides you and family members normally resident with you, with access to telephone or webcam consultations with a GP (General Practitioner).

Telephone consultations are available 24 hours a day, every day. Webcam consultations are available from 8.30am to 6.30pm, United Kingdom time, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

There is no limit to the duration of the consultation or number of times that you can use the service*.

  • Pick up the phone and arrange a call back from a practising UK GP 
  • Available for you and your resident family 
  • Speak to a doctor while you’re at home or work, it’s the closest thing to a surgery appointment but without the wait 
  • Available 24 hours a day, from anywhere in the world 
  • Discuss any health issues and receive confidential advice or a diagnosis 
  • Call the service as often as you like 
  • Use the webcam consultation to show the doctor your symptoms, helping them to diagnose your condition and recommend your next steps 
  • Arrange for prescribed medicine to be sent directly to you, wherever you are in the world
